The scientific publication The Lancet Infectious Diseases has published a new study on the effectiveness of vaccination against COVID-19 in 2021.
According to experts, in the period from December 2020 to December 2021, coronavirus vaccination prevented about 20 million deaths in 185 countries. Without vaccination, 31.4 million people in the world would die from the effects of the disease. Such conclusions were reached by scientists on the basis of data obtained through mathematical modeling.
Vaccination against COVID-19 has significantly changed the course of the pandemic, saving tens of millions of lives worldwide. However, inadequate access to vaccines in low-income countries has limited the impact in these settings, increasing the need for global equity and vaccine coverage. The results of the study emphasize the importance of equal access to vaccines, especially in such regions
We will remind, recently we wrote that, according to the Ministry of Health, there will be no insulin deficiency in Ukraine.
